ABOUT LEGACY

Are you a christian church?

Yes! You may review our statement of faith learn more clearly about our beliefs and practice.

Why a church in the Los Angeles area?

Why not? God, through His Word, has expressed his clear love for cities. Today, cities are often viewed as powerful cultural centers that are too diverse and secular to embrace any kind of religious belief and practice. Yet, we believe cities are incredibly valuable to the good of society and God establishing His kingdom through the gospel of Jesus Christ. (See Jeremiah 29)

How do you engage with the city of Los Angeles?

We believe the most effective way to engage and care for the good of our city is through personal relationships. We desire to see our community engage people from all walks of life through their vocations and neighborhoods with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We also will partner with existing local organizations that serve our city.

Can parents accompany their children into Legacy KIDS?

Always. Legacy KIDS policy allows for moms and dads to accompany their children of any age. If your child is anxious or shy in a new environment-then we encourage your presence in the classrooms for as long as necessary. Children with special needs may require one parent with them at all times while checked into Legacy KIDS.

What is the mission statement for Legacy KIDS?

Jesus commands His followers to allow children to come to Him, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14). In our obedience to God’s call, ministry to children becomes both an art and a science. It is an art in that we labor to creatively reinforce biblical truths of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in the heart of a child. It is a science in that the physical and emotional development of children affects spiritual growth. The responsibility of the Children’s Ministry worker, under the guidance of church staff, is to put together these crucial parts of ministry into a creative, fun, friendly, emotionally stable, spiritually challenging, and biblically sound atmosphere.
